ORG, a frontrunner in China’s metal packaging industry, has implemented numerous commendable practices to foster sustainable development within the packaging industry. Among our achievements is a decade-long commitment to independently developing coated iron packaging, leading to substantial reductions in energy consumption and carbon dioxide emissions. ESG has intensively focused on the application of DR materials, pioneering as the first enterprise in China to implement 0.15mm-thick DR materials in the mass production of food cans.
Furthermore, ORG is an active participant in the Metal Packaging Recycling and Reuse Alliance, initiated by the Metal Container Committee of the China Packaging Federation. We have proactively developed a network for UBC recycling in China and established a specialized UBC recycling and green cycle alliance, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of China’s metal packaging industry.
This intelligently designed and developed compensated packaging recycling machine recycles waste tinplate cans, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles under 500ml. Capable of handling around 2,000 cans (bottles), it completes recycling in just about 4 seconds per item. The machine features a glass viewing panel, offering an unobstructed view of the recycling and sorting process from start to finish.
In 2023, ORG took a pivotal step in sustainable development by releasing our first ESG Report. This critical initiative, spanning a five-month period from the establishment of the ESG team to the report’s finalization and release, was grounded in comprehensive studies of ESG disclosure norms and guidelines, coupled with comparative analyses of ESG reports released by advanced enterprises. A key part of this initiative was planning and implementing a comprehensive survey with the participation of over 6,000 stakeholders, ensuring the report’s focus on ESG issues was aligned with the company’s operational realities. The effort spanned the entire company, involving data collection from nearly 20 departments and detailed interviews with core departments to gather a cohesive overview of ORG’s ESG-related activities for the year 2022. In strict compliance with ESG disclosure requirements and norms, ORG finally compiled the ESG Report 2022.
