Love to Read ∙ Ignite Wisdom Review of ORG group's first "Joyful Reading" reading programme

In order to promote the personal development of employees and create a learning organization, ORG Group officially launched the "Joyful Reading" reading activity on 15 November 2021 for the Group's headquarters, business divisions and molecular companies, in accordance with the call of Chairman Zhou Yunjie to carry out reading activities for managers, with a view to creating an environment of broadening horizons, common thinking and continuous innovation. The "Joyful Reading" activity requires active forms, appealing and interactive communication. Each unit establishes a reading group, led by the leader, and organizes the group members to open books by chapter and exchange their thoughts on reading with their work or life.

The first edition of the Joyful Reading activity in November is Can. This is a book about the development of canning in the United States, describing the challenges and food safety problems encountered by the canning industry during different periods of development between the 19th and 20th centuries, and how manufacturers took measures to promote themselves and the industry and enhance consumer trust in canning.

A total of 15 departments at the Group's headquarters participated in the "Joyful reading" campaign. Group HR organised a Reading for Pleasure kick-off meeting with staff from both Huabin and Huairou to introduce the Reading for Pleasure campaign arrangements, efficient reading methods and incentives for the campaign. Molecular companies use the factory morning meeting, downtime, or rest time reading, and combined with the actual work of the meeting to exchange reading experience, the scope of the activities include 33 molecular companies.

Group Launch Meeting

In this issue, a total of 44 reading feedback summaries were received from 15 departments at the Group's headquarters and 29 molecular companies, as well as 17 articles on reading experiences compiled by individuals. Among them, Linyi Company, Longkou Company, Zaozhuang Company, Shandong Company, Gannan Company, Kedong Company, Hubei Packaging, Hubei Beverage, Three Piece Can Foshan Company, Two Piece Can Foshan Company, Guangdong Company, Shaanxi Company, Jiangmen Company and other companies' mode of implementation is worth learning from: for example, the general manager attended the meeting to support and encourage or comment; the Human Resources Department actively organised activities and shared reading-related materials; the company's reading activities were The company's reading activities are organized, followed up and rewarding, and the reading experience and insights come from the employees' inner voices, which are enlightening and inspiring to the actual work.

By reviewing the reading feedback, we understand that the members of each unit who participated in the reading activities have gained a lot of feedback and insights. Firstly, staff better understand the history of the development of canning, ORG as the industry leader, so that employees feel a sense of pride and honour, and enhance confidence in the development prospects of the company. Secondly, combined with the actual work, the group sparked many thoughts on food safety, the importance of product quality, raising industry standards, continuous improvement, technological innovation, new media branding, and paying attention to consumer needs. Finally, at the national level, ORG's commitment to serving the country through industry enhanced the sense of responsibility and mission of its staff. "The activity not only stimulates people's enthusiasm for reading, but also expands their thinking on issues, enabling them to argue and trace issues from a broader perspective and apply their feelings and insights to their real life and work to continuously improve themselves.

Through the first phase of the "Joyful Reading" activity, the Group's head office, all business divisions and molecular companies actively participated in carrying out various forms of attractive "Joyful Reading" activities. On the one hand, the "Joyful Reading" activity provides a good organisational culture for employees, and the company promotes reading activities and supports employees to participate in reading and learning. On the other hand, employees can learn the essence of knowledge through reading and combine it with their practical work to generate thoughts and insights. This is also the reason why the Group launched the "Reading" campaign in the first place. We look forward to seeing the second phase of the event, where more ideas will emerge!
