Being a Packaging Solution Provider in the New Era | ORG Awarded the First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in National Corporate Culture

The National Corporate Culture Annual Conference (2023) was held in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, from December 15th to 16th. ORG Technology was honored with the "First Prize for Outstanding Achievements in National Corporate Culture for the 2022-2023 Year."

The conference was organized by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association, co-sponsored by the Sichuan Enterprise Confederation, Sichuan Enterprise Directors Association, and the People's Government of Yibin City, and undertaken by Wuliangye Group (Stock) Company. The theme of the conference was "Shaping Excellent Corporate Culture to Unite the Development Strength of Enterprises." It comprehensively implemented the spirit of the 20th National Party Congress, deeply studied and implemented Xi Jinping's cultural thought, explored new ideas and methods for advancing corporate culture construction comprehensively, and enhanced the soft power of corporate culture to promote higher quality and level of development for enterprises.

ORG's awarded corporate culture achievement was titled With the Mission of Being a Packaging Solution Provider in the New Era, Leading High-Quality Development of Private Manufacturing Enterprises. It elaborated on the role ORG's culture in driving the development of the company across three main sections.

The ORG People magazine serves as an enlightening tool, not just for internal and external communication, but also as a vital window through which ORG employees gain insights into ORG's strategies, the development of the packaging industry, and the cultivation of their work-related thinking. By incorporating voices from various sources, including corporate leaders, industry experts, and partners in the packaging ecological chain, ORG communicates its corporate values, endorsed beliefs, and development philosophy to employees. This helps deepen the understanding of ORG's culture and fosters recognition of ORG's values.

In day-to-day management and operations, ORG plans activities at different levels, from the group to local branches, creating branded and sustainable employee events. Through diverse activities such as book reading clubs, employee sports events, branch-level skills competitions, and more, ORG aims to create an "attractive working environment," enhancing employees' sense of work purpose, belonging, and loyalty. ORG, taking on the responsibility of supporting the development of China's metal packaging industry, has evolved from a single can supplier to a comprehensive packaging solutions provider, gradually advancing towards becoming an international metal packaging enterprise. In 2018, ORG made a cross-border acquisition of Ball Asia Pacific, swiftly becoming a global giant in the metal packaging industry with international influence and ranking among the largest metal packaging enterprises in Asia. In 2021, ORG's main business revenue reached 12.3 billion, making it the only metal packaging enterprise in China with a main business revenue exceeding 10 billion.

After nearly 30 years of development, ORG's values have been widely recognized by various sectors of society. It consecutively ranked among the Top 500 Chinese Private Enterprises in Manufacturing and the Top 100 Beijing Private Enterprises in 2021 and 2022. Within the industry, ORG received the "Outstanding Enterprise Award in the Packaging Industry for 2021" from the China Packaging Federation. It secured the 4th position on the list of the Top 100 Chinese Packaging Enterprises in 2021 and became the top-ranking Chinese Metal packaging enterprise in 2021.

With the vision of being the "leader in the packaging service ecological chain," ORG persists in continuously integrating and upgrading its core, metal packaging, creating a full industry chain service capability. Currently, it has established a comprehensive packaging solution that integrates product design, packaging design and manufacturing, filling services, and information-assisted marketing. And it successively established nearly 40 manufacturing bases, with industry coverage in 16 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions, including Hubei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Hainan. Chairman Zhou Yunjie has stated that ORG not only aims to be a service provider but also a participant, achieving the enhancement of the entire metal packaging value chain. ORG consistently insists on co-creating value with its customers, helping them maximize value at the market end through technological and model innovations and the integration of the industry resource chain.

In 2020, ORG was honored as an excellent supplier by FIRMUS Dairy, and this is a glimpse of the factory.

Over the past decade of collaboration with FIRMUS, ORG has adopted a "follow-up" production layout, establishing production bases in Gannan County and Kedong County. Currently, ORG produces nearly one hundred million milk powder cans annually for FIRMUS, contributing to FIRMUS's position as the leading brand in the Chinese infant formula market. In 2022, ORG initiated the second "factory within a factory" project in FIRMUS's Kedong factory, providing comprehensive services, including product design, can manufacturing, product testing and other supporting services. Through high-quality, in-depth, and seamless and integrated services, ORG reduces operational costs for both parties, facilitating the growth of FIRMUS Dairy in the Chinese infant formula market.

ORG's partnership with LEASUN FOOD began with a small order of only 50,000 coated iron cans in 2017. Despite the modest size of the order, the ORG team did not show the slightest negligence and provided dedicated service to the customer. After five years of collaboration, ORG's team's dedication, sincerity, and problem-solving service mindset and attitude left a profound impression on LEASUN FOOD. Trust was established, and the order quantity increased year by year, from 50,000 cans in 2017 to over 65 million sets in annual supply in 2022. The collaboration witnessed LEASUN FOOD's rapid transformation from an export-oriented enterprise to the top domestic brand in canned fruits. Through collaborative efforts with customers, ORG's value and brand awareness continue to rise, forming long-term stable strategic partnerships with over a hundred well-known food and beverage brands.

The value shared by all ORG employees is "technology as the core, and co-prosperity with ecology." As early as 2006, Chairman Zhou Yunjie proposed the viewpoint that the "way out for the metal packaging industry lies in recycling, and the way out for metal packaging products lies in innovation." Today, technological innovation and green development have become the primary driving forces for ORG's development and transformation.

Over the 30 years of development, ORG has been actively advancing domestic packaging technology to align with international standards. From introducing the first "powder supplement coating" process in China to successfully developing the international lightest "0.12mm DR material" three-piece can, and further innovating in the independent research and use of film-coated iron materials as well as digital packaging, ORG has consistently regarded technological innovation as a driving force for corporate development. Today, ORG has become a leading enterprise in the domestic packaging technology field, consistently maintaining its position at the top tier of international technological innovation.

Guided by the spirit of innovation, ORG has received over a hundred awards in the field of technological innovation. By the end of 2022, ORG has accumulated 163 valid patents, 85 valid trademarks, 5 software copyrights, and 13 artistic copyrights.

In Zhejiang, Smart Recycling handles the recycled packaging materials.

In the aspect of green growth, ORG not only promotes China to achieve international leading levels in the use of green materials but also actively conducts research on "metal packaging recycling and reuse technology." Leading the various sectors of the industry chain, ORG has established the first domestic "packaging material recycling center" in Shaoxing, Zhejiang, as part of the "zero-waste city" pilot program. This initiative effectively promotes the "circular economy" and contributes to the green and sustainable development of the industry.

As a publicly listed company, ORG has consistently embraced social responsibility, responding to the national "dual-carbon" goals. Through green technological innovation, the company promotes the use of clean energy sources such as photovoltaic power generation to reduce carbon emissions in production and operations, fully transitioning to green manufacturing and intelligent manufacturing.

The continuous lightweighting material reduction project of Budweiser 330# can at the ORG Foshan factory has successfully made it the lightest 330# can in China. In addition, the establishment of Smart Recycling in Zhejiang has cooperated well with Budweiser's waste aluminum can recycling (UBC) project and has been piloted in several Budweiser factories in 2022. Furthermore, this year, ORG released its first ESG report, disclosing its efforts and achievements in sustainable development to the public. The company plans to regularly release such reports, welcoming public scrutiny and professional guidance, marking ORG's gradual entry onto a path of standardized and transparent sustainable development governance.

In the aspect of social welfare, ORG has collaborated for several consecutive years with the National Technical Guidance Group for Blindness Prevention, Beijing Tongren Hospital, and the Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology to "Bring Light" to cataract patients in nationally impoverished counties. Following the Wenchuan earthquake, ORG actively contributed to the construction of Hope Primary Schools. During incidents such as the southern snow disaster, floods in Shanxi, and the earthquake in Ya'an, ORG company has consistently participated in relief efforts. Amid the current COVID-19 pandemic, ORG swiftly carried out donations through its production bases in Beijing, Hubei, Jiangsu, Yunnan, and Guangdong. Throughout the pandemic, ORG's Hubei branch responded positively to calls for orderly resumption of work and production, earning the on-site guidance and positive affirmation from Vice Premier Sun Chunlan.
