The resolution aims to push for a global fight against plastic pollution and hopes to end it by 2024 which will be legally binding. The adoption of the “Draft” marks the imminent arrival of the first global “plastic limit order”.

According to statistics, 1,500 vending machines within Fujitsu will end providing plastic bottled beverages at the end of 2019, and it is expected to reduce about 7 million plastic bottles each year.
