The newly-built Zaozhuang project is close to Qingdao Beer (Zaozhuang) Co., Ltd., and shares a wall with Tsingtao Beer Co., Ltd., and the logistics roads are interconnected; The total investment of Phase I is expected to be 360 million yuan, with a planned floor area of 97.8 mu and a total construction area of 39078.4 m2; The project covers a complete set of production and operation configurations such as joint plant, comprehensive warehouse, packaging material warehouse, sewage treatment station, chemical warehouse, cooling tower circulating water tank, RTO equipment, etc. After completion, it will have an annual production capacity of 900 million aluminum cans.
As a key project of Shandong Province in 2022, “double recruitment and double guidance”, ORG’s fifth production base in Shandong after Linyi, Longkou and Qingdao (two factories), the construction of Zaozhuang production base, is undoubtedly closely related to Shandong’s economic status as a major manufacturing province in China and a key province in the East China Economic Circle. As one of the provinces with the most complete industrial categories, the most solid foundation, the most complete structure and the most complete supporting facilities in China, Shandong has been building an advanced manufacturing province and a new industrial system in Shandong. ORG is focusing on the advantages and future development of Shandong in the development of manufacturing industry, focusing on the layout of Shandong, occupying the core economic area of Qingdao, Shandong, focusing on Linyi, Zaozhuang and other cities along the Qingdao-Jinan Railway and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway industries, and taking a crucial step in the layout of ORG’s national production base.

On September 2, 2022, the State Council issued the Opinions on Supporting Shandong to Deepen the Transformation of New and Old Kinetic Energy and Promote the Green, Low-carbon and High-quality Development, which clearly defined the guiding opinions of Shandong to promote the green and low-carbon transformation and development, take reform and innovation as the fundamental driving force, and strive to build a green, low-carbon and high-quality development pilot area. And ORG’s achievements in the field of green and sustainable development are also obvious to all. Over the years, ARG has always adhered to the “sustainable packaging strategy” and practiced it in the packaging technology layer. Compared with traditional metal packaging technology, the film coated iron technology developed by ORG has the natural advantages of low carbon and environmental protection. The expansion plan of the plant in Zaozhuang is exactly the inevitable choice in step with Shandong’s future green and low-carbon transformation and development strategy.
In the future, with the successful completion of Zaozhuang project, it will be accompanied by Shandong’s innovation-driven strategy to achieve high-quality collaborative development. It not only takes an important step for the production layout of ORG in Shandong and the whole East China region, but also can bring some impetus to the development of local manufacturing industry in Zaozhuang and drive the coordinated development of local upstream and downstream industries. Correspondingly, the completion of Zaozhuang production base can also create more talent demand for Zaozhuang and provide some jobs.
