Office Space | Golden Dew: Harnessing Eternal Vitality

Awarded the prestigious Jintang Prize for "Outstanding Office Space Design", the "ORG Beijing Headquarters Office Building" is situated in the Huairou District of Beijing, spanning an impressive area of 28,000 square meters. Its design is a comprehensive amalgamation of interior, museum, garden, display, and furniture design, seamlessly integrating a multitude of functions.

\

The Jintang Prize characterizes outstanding office spaces as "mirrors reflecting a company's soft power, culture, and style".

\

In this light, the awarded ORG Building transcends the conventional notion of office space, emerging as a spiritual haven that harmonizes office functionalities with garden serenity and museum elegance. Its design philosophy is anchored in creating various experiences from the human senses—shape, color, touch, hearing, and taste—to craft uniquely immersive experiences across different functional areas. This approach empowers users to transition seamlessly into the optimal state of mind and engagement through the dynamic spatial environment, embodying a sophisticated blend of aesthetics and functionality.

\

The distinctive design of the office spaces, articulated through the motifs of 0s and 1s, encapsulates the concept of a "ring". This symbol extends multiple meanings, from the tangible "ring" of a metal can to the abstract notions of infinite cycles and the completeness of ORG's journey—from inception through trials to entrepreneurial success.

Furthermore, these numerical representations draw a digital parallel to the philosophical teachings of Laozi's "Tao Te Ching": from one comes two, from two comes three, from three comes all things. This symbolism profoundly mirrors the philosophical essence that "all things are born from being, and being is born from non-being", enriching the design with deep cultural connotations and a narrative of growth and evolution.

\

The entire wall in the lobby, made of metal, stands as a testament to ORG's esteemed position in the domestic metal packaging industry. This metallic canvas is intricately embellished with lights and plus signs, interwoven with streams of flowing light. This design is rich in symbolism, representing the wisdom embodied in the elements of dew, nurturing forces that have continuously supported ORG's growth and prosperity.

\

The garden within the office space is meticulously crafted based on the principle of "two axes, one ring, five elements, and four circles", orchestrating harmony and balance. At its heart lies a pond adorned with Tai Shan stones, drawing inspiration from the image of hard metal cans encapsulating water. This design juxtaposes the stones amidst water, showing a theme of contradiction yet compatibility. Surrounding the pond, the four circles gracefully unfold along natural curves, each studded with stones gathered from various ORG factories. These stones stand as a testament to the resilient and audacious spirit of ORG's workforce, imbuing the garden with distinctive value and profound symbolism. Designed as a conduit for energy, the garden maintains a serene balance, becoming a haven of tranquility and a reflection of ORG's essence.

\

Being in the garden, one's heart expands to embrace the vastness of the world. The architectural design ingeniously blurs the spatial boundaries through the artful application of traditional garden design:borrowing scenery, symmetric arrangement, and strategic blocking to craft spaces that are both distinct and interconnected, achieving a harmonious yet dynamic environment. This approach results in a unique atmosphere that perfectly balances the abstract with the tangible, all while subtly infused with an oriental essence.

Museum | Enduring Prosperity, From Insight to Innovation

Echoing the insightful theme "Design Creates Value" proposed by Xie Haitao, the founder of the Jintang Prize, the "ORG Beijing Headquarters Office Building" transcends its identity as merely an architectural marvel adorned with meaningful symbolism. It stands as a living museum, chronicling the evolution of China's packaging industry. This museum, through its exploration of packaging history, narrates the broader narrative of human civilization and technological advancement. In doing so, the ORG Packaging Museum exemplifies the ethos of "Design Creates Value", showcasing how thoughtful design can elevate the essence of cultural and technological milestones.

\

The entrance to the museum on the first floor features a blank spirit wall. Here, a dynamic projection vividly illustrates water droplets falling and creating ripples expanding outward, accompanied by the gentle sounds of water. This tranquil scene centers around a golden metal can suspended amid the ripples. The metal can represents the beginning of the company's journey, and what follows is just like the endless ripples, illustrating the profound impact and ongoing legacy of ORG's innovations.

\

The museum offers a comprehensive display of packaging vessels, tracing their evolution from primitive societies to the modern era of industrial production. Each exhibit not only showcases the development history of these vessels but also captures the unique culture and charm inherent in each period. These displays are more than mere expressions of craftsmanship and aesthetics from various eras; they represent a rich tapestry of human civilization spanning thousands of years.

\

The museum's interior design thoughtfully aligns with concepts of nature and environmental sustainability, employing a calming color palette of white and wood tones. This theme is accentuated by numerous curved designs in door frames and corridors, which serve to break up the monotony and infuse a sense of comfort throughout the space. As visitors navigate through the museum, each design element seems to breathe with life, creating a relaxing and interactive experience. This effect embodies the design philosophy of Ai Qing, the designer behind the ORG Museum. Ai Qing's intent is for the space to be dynamic, embodying both tension and relaxation. "I hope it breathes," Ai Qing explains, "with tension and relaxation evident in every component, from a pillar to a partition, making people feel engaged as they move through the space."

In the expansive realm of packaging, ORG positions itself as a pioneer and explorer in China's metal packaging industry. The industrial museum curated by ORG not only chronicles the historical evolution and future trajectories of the packaging sector but also champions a visionary model for metal packaging. This model emphasizes sustainability with a focus on recyclability and low-carbon, environmentally friendly practices.

Within the cultural and creative zone on the first floor, an interactive environmental-protection exhibit allows visitors to engage firsthand with the processes of customizing and recycling metal cans. As we move deeper into an era defined by ecological consciousness, the packaging industry stands at the forefront of adopting sustainable practices. Future developments will likely continue to focus on low-carbon footprints and environmentally friendly approaches in material selection, design, recycling, and reuse. This shift aims to guide society towards a deeper understanding of nature's truth and beauty, reminding us of the essential values of environmental stewardship.

Original Intentions, Future Excellence: The Beauty that Inspires

As articulated by Zhou Yunjie, the chairman of ORG, the museum was conceived with a clear purpose: "I hope to build a museum that introduces the past and present of metal packaging. This is ORG's social responsibility and also instills a sense of honor among ORG's people." The name of the company, "ORG", stands for "Origin", symbolizing a new beginning. Positioned at this fresh starting line, ORG aims to return to its roots to advance.

\

ORG’s foundational ethos of "Visionary Insight, Perpetual Flourishing" encapsulates the company’s transformative journey. Starting from humble beginnings, ORG has continuously broken barriers and advanced forward, always with an eye towards contributing to society. This philosophy marks ORG’s evolution from a traditional manufacturing facility to a comprehensive service provider. By overcoming technological challenges and achieving low-carbon recycling of packaging, ORG is pushing Chinese manufacturing to the global forefront. This original intention which is also ORG’s lasting commitment fuels its progress and is set to guide the company towards a promising future.
