The night award of the 38th Beijing Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest on the theme of “discovery, innovation, responsibility” was successfully held at the eastern hall on the campus of Yan Qi Lake of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences on March 26th, 2018.

The attendance at the night award are Liu Xiaokan, the deputy director of organizing committee of the contest and the vice president of Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Xuwei, the deputy director of organizing committee of the contest and the deputy director-general of Beijing Intellectual Property, Li Zhisui, the deputy director of organizing committee of the contest and the deputy district chief of Huairou District of Beijing, Niu Xiaoli,the deputy director of organizing committee of the contest and the vice president of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, SunXiaofeng, the vice president of Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Wangjun, the director of department of Sports Hygiene and Art Education of Beijing Education Commission and Zhang Xiaohu, the director of Children and Youth Science Center and related leadership 

Youth Science and Technology Innovation Contest is a large scientific and technological activity with the exemplary significance. And its basic purpose is to promote flourishing development of youth scientific and technological activities, cultivate their innovative spirit and practical skills, improve their scientific and technological quality and encourage the emergency of excellent talents. There are 300 thousand teenagers participated the contest. And 1992 works in the 16 districts of the city entered the municipal preliminary assessment, and 192 youth science and technology innovation achievements and 16 excellent science and technology counselors entered the final assessment. The participants are from13 countries such as the United States, Australia, Czech, Denmark and Israel, and are from 16 delegations such as Hongkong, Macao and Taiwan and there are 33 participating items. Meanwhile, participants from Chinese and foreign counties compete on the same contest and judges from different countries jointly evaluate in the four disciplines of among them, including biomedicine, zoology, mathematics and computer science.
