Welcoming Mr. GOAT as a “New Colleague" to Auxerre Football Club

\

On May 3rd, Mr. GOAT was invited to "join" the prestigious AJ Auxerre Football Club. Armed with his unique perspective, he embarked on a journey to explore this century-old institution that has nurtured football legends like Cantona and Cissé.

\

As he arrived in Auxerre, Mr. GOAT was immediately captivated by the tranquility of this charming canal town.

\

While strolling along the canal, Mr. GOAT encountered an elderly gentleman. The man proudly showed off his Auxerre membership card and expressed how the club is an integral part of the city's identity. He emphasized that Auxerre's prosperity and development are intertwined with the club's success, and that the club fosters a strong sense of "family" among its supporters. The elderly fan attributed this unique atmosphere to the club's investor, Mr. Yunjie, James, Zhou, praising him for his significant contributions to the club's growth without drastically altering its essence, unlike the transformative approach taken by the Qatar consortium with Paris Saint-Germain.

\

Upon arriving at the club, Mr. GOAT was warmly welcomed by Mr. Baptiste Malherbe, the president of Auxerre Club. Mr. Malherbe presented Mr. GOAT with a personalized Auxerre uniform with his name on it.

\

During the onboarding training, Mr. GOAT had the privilege of laying eyes on the coveted Ligue 1 championship trophy which Auxerre claimed in the 95/96 season. "This is the first time I have seen the Ligue 1 trophy from the 90s," Mr. GOAT exclaimed with excitement. He marveled at the team photo from that season, which featured four members of the 1998 French World Cup champion team, including the legendary defender Laurent Blanc.

\

Mr. GOAT's astonishment only grew when he discovered that Auxerre, led by the formidable Cissé, had staged a remarkable upset against Paris Saint-Germain in the 2003 French Cup final. Despite PSG boasting stars like Ronaldinho and Pochettino, Auxerre emerged victorious and proudly won the trophy.

\

As he delved deeper into the club's history, Mr. GOAT stumbled upon a familiar name on the 1980 roster from Auxerre's inaugural season in Ligue 1 - #11 Josef Klose, the father of Miroslav Klose, the World Cup's all-time leading scorer. "This training session has brought me so many surprises and insights!" Mr. GOAT remarked with genuine emotion.

With Mr. GOAT's official integration into the Auxerre family, fans can look forward to a wealth of captivating content on the official media platforms of both Auxerre and Mr. GOAT in the near future. Stay tuned for more!
