The Association de la Jeunesse Auxerroise (short for AJ Auxerre) is a football club located in Auxerre, a town in Burgundy in central France. It was founded in 1905 and its home is at Stade l'Abbé-Deschamps by the River Yonne, which can accommodate 18,541 people. It is currently having matches in the French Football League. Auxerre is the smallest among the cities that major European clubs locate, with a total population of 40,000.
1982 is a year that marked the historic and symbolic significance in the field of youth training for AJ Auxerre and French football. In this year, AJ Auxerre established France’s first professional youth training base.
